Grade 12's on going on a field trip with me to Mono Cliff

Period 1 Grade 9 Film Arts- Room 204

Students are to work on their Clips Assignment. They have approx 20 film clips that they have to use to make a film. The keys to the room and the laptop cart are on my desk with the instructions. If students have trouble signing in, have them try the ethernet cable, and then have them work with a partner and share a computer if that does not work.

Period 5 - grade 10 Film Arts - room 204

Students are working on their Claude Watson Film or their Flipped Class Flash Assignments. Some students may want to sign out equipment. Please have Wally open the equipment door for them. They are on a very tight deadline so they should be focussed. I they seem unoccupied have them work on in flash lessons from my website.

Monday October 18

Period 1 Grade 9  Film Arts

I did a short demo on the basics of video editing today and students worked on their clips assignment.

Period 1 - Grade 9 Com Tech
Students will be working on the Image as Text Assignment.

Friday October 15

Period 1 Grade 9 Film Arts

I did a short tutorial on how to log organize files for editing. Student traded files. See assignments here. Student also had time to work on the edits. We have ongoing issues with signing in.

Period 4 Grade 10
Students shared what they had done so far in their CW videos. Some good raw and rough cut footage, but they have a ways to go. Final must be submitted by Friday. Approval from dept heads by Wednesday.

Period 5 - Assigned Adaptation Trailer to grade 12s. Naomi Jaye is coming in on Oct, 20 , 23 and 27 in all the day 2 classes.

Thrusday October 15

Period 1

I was away at the orthodontist office so students worked with Ms. Lasingh on their clips and Photoshop for their posters. Tomorrow I will demonstrate Premier Pro basics and how to log and organize shots. They will then trade shots and start their own edits.

Period 5
Students handed in their Photoshop Montage reflection sheets and files. I introduced word as image. they got their ideas sketched out on paper. I have them in a drawer in the cabinet. Next class they will start using AI to make their images.

Wednesday October 14

Period 1 is a work day

Students are working on their clips assignment or they are working on Adobe Photoshop copying and pasting.

Period 5
Students are working on their fantasy portraits including a few objects. Good to show process.

October 13 Entry

Period 1 Grade 9 FA

I gave students a short introduction to the content of movie posters.
I gave students a short in introduction on how to find copyright free images.
I I gave students a short in introduction on how to select, copy and paste images into Photoshop.

Students worked on their clips assignment which is due Thursday October 15.

Period 2
Worked on Web site and tickets for open house - next Tuesday I will work on open house ppt with Tara.

Period 4 Grade 10 FA
Reminded students about timeline for CW videos. I MUST see all raw footage or rough cut by Friday. All videos MUST be approved by the dept head by Wednesday Oct 21, and submitted to me by Friday October 23.

Period 5 Grade 12 Film Arts
Most groups showed their ReMake video today and handed in their production binder. Aiden and Bronwyn have an extension.
